This is me.

I am 55 years old. I've been other people's "person" for all of my life. I've been my mothers and my father's daughter. I've been my (beloved) brother's sister. Then I was my husband's wife. Then I was my daughter's mother.....and now, finally, I am me. Myrtle (oh god!) better known as Merril (and then Meryl) - Meryl now. after years and years of being Myrtle. My mother's name, her mother's name. 3 myrtles - and then recently I found out that there is a haunted hotel named the 3 myrtles - yeah, that would be me.
After so many years of filled to the brim people in my life - I am finally here, on my own, and loving it. More later.
